6 Storey Commercial Building w/ Roof Deck & Mezzanine

This project involved the structural design and engineering development of the Padis Point Bar and Restaurant located in Quezon City. The establishment features an open-floor layout with a combination of reinforced concrete and structural steel framing to achieve a modern, spacious, and entertainment-focused environment while maintaining safety and efficiency in construction. Scope of Services: Madhouse Engineering Consultancy was commissioned to deliver a comprehensive structural design package, including: Structural concept and system selection suited for a bar and restaurant setup with high live loads and dynamic crowd behavior. Structural analysis and design using advanced engineering software to ensure code compliance and cost efficiency. Design of foundations, columns, beams, and floor systems, optimized for material economy and constructability. Structural detailing and coordination with architectural and MEPF teams to ensure seamless integration of services. Preparation of complete construction drawings and technical specifications for contractor implementation. Design Highlights: Integration of steel framing for roof and mezzanine areas to achieve long spans and open interior space. Application of vibration control and lateral stability design for live music and entertainment loads. Use of lightweight concrete slabs and efficient foundation systems to reduce overall construction cost and time. Coordination with the architectural team to support aesthetic and acoustic design goals without compromising structural integrity. Outcome: The project successfully achieved a balance between aesthetics, safety, and performance, providing a durable structure that supports high occupancy, dynamic activities, and long-term functionality for the client.
