30 mm ESP32-S3 Tiny IoT / Edge-AI Device — Complete Hardware & Firmware Development

Designed and developed a complete ultra-compact IoT/edge-AI device on a circular PCB with a diameter of approximately 30 mm. The board is based on the ESP32-S3 and integrates the main system directly on the PCB, including the antenna section, microSD card interface, battery/power-management circuitry, and the supporting components required for a fully working standalone product. I handled the project from initial concept to final working product, including system architecture, schematic design, component selection, compact PCB placement and routing, power-management design, firmware development, hardware bring-up, debugging, testing, and manufacturing preparation. The main engineering challenge was integrating all required functionality into a very small board area while maintaining reliable power distribution, RF/antenna performance, signal integrity, manufacturability, and firmware stability.
