A rod end bearing housing (often referred to as a Heim joint or rose joint body). The housing holds a spherical bearing (pillow ball). As the suspension cycles through jounce, rebound, and steering angles, the rod end allows the connecting linkage to pivot smoothly across multiple axes without transferring binding forces to the rod itself.
