A two-part pillow ball (spherical bearing) retention system, designed for high-performance automotive suspension or robotic linkages. Modeled in Siemens NX, the assembly consists of a bearing housing insert (bushing) and a fine-threaded locking retainer. + The bushing component is modeled with a continuous, precisely contoured internal radius designed to cup the spherical bearing or its PTFE liner, ensuring maximum surface contact. + The retainer features a fully detailed 3/8-24 UNF external thread profile. This fine-pitch thread is for resisting back-out from high-frequency vibrations.
