0.5 Litre bottle die design- Injection moulding
I developed a complete injection‑mould die design for a 0.5‑litre plastic bottle, starting from a customer‑provided sample. The project involved fully remastering the bottle geometry, ensuring accurate replication of the original shape, dimensions, wall thickness, and functional features. The remastered model was then used to create a production‑ready mould assembly consisting of the core, cavity, top insert, and alignment components.
The die design includes a precisely defined bottle cavity with correct draft angles, smooth transitions, and uniform wall thickness to ensure defect‑free moulding. The core and cavity blocks are engineered with guide pillars, bushings, and fastening elements for stable operation and repeatable part quality. The gating system is positioned to achieve balanced material flow and proper packing, while venting locations are optimized to eliminate air traps.
Cooling channels are strategically placed around the cavity to maintain uniform temperature distribution and reduce cycle time. The complete assembly is shown in both solid and wireframe exploded views, highlighting internal details such as alignment pins, ejector mechanisms, and cavity geometry. This project demonstrates my ability to reverse‑engineer customer samples, create accurate 3D models, and deliver professional, production‑ready injection mould designs.
