3D Modeling & CAD Design Showcase

It’s been another busy week for the ever-growing Cad Crowd community! With so many industrious 3D modelers and product designers, the Cad Crowd Gallery is always overflowing with awesome new CAD projects. As we do from time to time, we thought we might shine the spotlight on some of these great new designs.

1. Dental Tools Product Design by IM3D

There are two kinds of people in the world: those who like to look at the tools while they’re at the dentist’s, and regular people. If you fall into the former category, I’m sure your mind is ablaze envisioning the possible uses of this device. If you fall into the latter category, well, here’s a non-threatening opportunity to look at some fancy dentistry tools. Don’t worry — they’re only images.

2. Shoehorn Bottle Opener 3D Modeling Design by Michael Dimou

There are two kinds of people in the world: those who would never open a bottle with something that touches their foot, and beer drinkers. What do shoehorns and bottle openers have in common? One might ask. You’re likely not to have one when traveling. Makes sense now, doesn’t it? An elegant solution to that problem was the goal behind a recent CAD design challenge, for which these sleek multi-purpose tools were one of many great entries.

3. Metal Rendering 3D Modeling Design by ISOQUE

That is not a photograph. That is a remarkably realistic rendering of an expertly crafted 3D model. The reflections, the texturing, the lighting — really great work. This is the kind of photorealism you want if you need to show off a design to make an impression before manufacturing gets up and running.

4. Metal Case 3D Modeling Design by Milivoja

That’s a pretty snazzy metal case, and it looks like it’s got some ruggedness to it, as well. Designed for computers, this design is a great mix of style with pragmatism. The red and grey color scheme is a great touch, too. Industrial, but jaunty.

5. Gym Bench CAD Drafting & Design by Matthew Naj

Get ripped in style! A sleek design for a highly adjustable gym bench that covers a lot of important gym functions. It’s even got the puffy foam for the legs in case you feel like working your abs. It would also double as a chair in case you don’t. The single adjustable arm looks a bit like a spine, which is a nice touch.

6. Glass Bottle Mockup 3D Modeling Design by Hector Castillo

And here we have another fantastic photorealistic render. The reflections and the optics of the glass are almost frighteningly realistic — take a look at the base of the bottle! Really impressive. Incredible work like that deserves a celebratory round of Sample Text.
