About

Are you looking to get the best value in function and costs while still getting a beautiful design?
Do you want non-destructive and open-ended design options for your remodelling or renovation projects?
I'm Jude Bayode and I have 7 years plus experience as an architect. I am passionate about creating warm and resource-optimised built environments.
I worked in a facilities management firm as a value engineer and CAD consultant for 4 years. As concept designer, I have participated on winning teams in design competitions since 2015.

Experience

  • Architect II / CAD consultant Construction unit, Facilities management service, International Institute of Tropical Agriculture · Contact Sep 2020 – Present 3 yrs 8 mos Ibadan, YO, Nigeria Between September 2020 and April 2022, I produced infrastructure plans, landscape
designs, remodeling, and renovation designs for four secondary schools in Ibadan. This
was done as a part of a public-private partnership between my organization and the
federal state of Oyo. The scheme sought to encourage students to participate in
agribusiness by upgrading learning facilites and infrastructure in schools across the state.
In September 2022, I worked on the value-engineering team of a community health
center project, donated by my organization to the local community. My design options
helped save $40,000 (about 45% of the initial costs).

Education

  • Federal University of Technology Akure Master of Architecture, Architecture and circular economy, PhD grade 2019 – 2021 Activities and Societies: Best presentation award, Creative architects competition, July 2019. Capacity development lead, Pulcher sustainability group, 2019 till present. I acquired skills in advanced architectural and urban design with an emphasis on circular
strategies for sustainability. I also gained basic skills in construction project management
and scientific writing. For my thesis, I investigated the technical and socio-economic
possibilities of design for disassembly in modern industrial buildings such as data
centers. The primary aim is to eliminate demolition waste by assessing alternative
responses to obsolescence in the built environment.
