Hire Expert Freelance Illustrators

Are you looking for freelance illustrators that can work on a variety of print or digital materials? Cad Crowd has a huge community of designers, including illustration freelancers, well-versed in the art and science of design. Apart from illustration services, we also cater to a wide range of engineering, design and drafting needs.

Illustration is the art of communicating through images, or images that convey text. Nothing describes the purpose of illustration better than the 1916 campaign material of Western Engraving & Colortype Co. entitled “Illustration Beats Explanation”. There's no question that, when done right, videos, animations, and images can better convey a message, than long, winded text.

Reading takes time and effort to process, whereas illustration gives it to you straight up, with little need for analysis. At least that’s what the best illustration freelancers can offer.

Illustration serves as an explanation, visual explanation or a decoration of a concept, text or process. It is often integrated with published media, such as video games, books, magazines, and films.

Types of illustration

There are three major types of illustration - contemporary, technical & scientific, and fine art. There are also specialist areas of illustration, such as concept art, picture books, technical drawing, archaeological illustration, information graphics, and scientific illustration.

The type of illustration often dictates its application, and styles and techniques that will be used. Contemporary freelance illustrators, for example, may use drawing, printmaking, montage, digital design, and/or 3D modeling to complete a project.

The same techniques are used in technical and scientific illustration, but the drawings are more focused on explaining, by way of illustration, technical subjects to a non-technical audience. This is where instructional images, diagrams, component design, and fly-throughs play a vital role.

In the art world, illustration has become a valued form of art, used to engage a global market. How else can video game and graphic novel industries break into the global scene without illustrations that transcend barriers?

This underlines the importance of illustration in design. In some cases, it forms the basis for an entire project, similar to animations. Before animated characters can move in full color, they all start in black and white illustrations. And even with a variety of design software, illustration still proves a vital aspect.

So, if you want to develop a video game or animated film, time to hire illustration freelancers to your team.

Cad Crowd can help.

We have a community of freelance illustrators, with skills and knowledge that go beyond illustration. They are well equipped with the skills at the heart of illustration, such as concept sketching, graphic design, 3D modeling and photorealistic rendering. This also means they are familiar with illustration-related software that includes Adobe Illustrator, Inkscape, Photoshop, and GIMP.

Suffice to say that our illustration services are delivered by expert illustration freelancers. We can vouch for them, and we’ll even recommend freelance illustrators that have been vetted and pre-qualified. Well, I'm an Iranian artist, currently live in Montreal, Canada. Academically I have studied graphic design and animation but I LOVE sculpting. That's why the creatures I drew gradually turned out to be sculptures and as my drawings are really tiny with so many details the sculptures became jewelry to resemble the drawings as much as possible. I'm glad that you visited my works. you can see some of my works in illustration, photography, graphic design, sculpting, 3Dmodeling and jewelry designing here. Enjoy! http://bagheridariush.wix.com/dxbdesign

My name is Stacy Kirkner. I have over 12 years’ experience in AutoCAD 2d and 3D models. (I actually teach AutoCAD). I am highly educated, just completed another degree B.B.A. with a 4.0 GPA while working full time job. Also, have 2 A.A.S. in engineering. I have a photographic memory, so if you tell me something or show me something, I have it! I am passionate about product designs, problem-solving, and creating. I am also artistically-inclined so I make sure product layouts look nice, as-well-as function properly. I am honest, works hard, and mechanically-inclined. I enjoy problem-solving and creating! I could do this type of work all day long and can't get enough of inventing and product designing. I am absolutely thrilled when I can be part of product development that will improve the lives of others! I welcome the opportunity to prove my abilities. I look forward to making your product designs, creations, and dreams come alive. Best Regards, Stacy Kirkner
