Smart Pattern Process

Boat cover patterning has, traditionally, been a very manual, analog process. The client wanted to improve their product design time by leveraging new technologies. The Smart Pattern Process is a proprietary process I developed for a boat cover manufacturer. It uses a unique combination of cutting edge software and hardware components to develop a manufacturable boat cover pattern using entirely digital methods. Due to its proprietary nature, I cannot discuss any aspect of this project in any more detail. Its implementation cut the time to design a custom fit boat cover in half and reduced the number of necessary prototypes by nearly the same amount.
