Furnace launder tip

This is a slag launder tip for a copper furnace. It's a cast part with cooling water piping cast into the copper mould to provide cooling to the block. These blocks can last many times longer than water cooled steel or refractory lined steel launders and are much easier to clean. Some have been in operation for 5 years or more with minimal repairs required.
