Appartment interior design
I have bought an apartment and need some help with planning the layout. The requirements are as follows: * living room together with kitchen * one bedroom * one child room * bathroom (has to include bath tub, not shower)
Expand Bath in Bungalow
A 1920's 1600ft2 2 story bungalow currently has upstairs 3 BR and half bath. The first floor has a full bath. * Would like to convert the upstairs bath into full bath. The attached layout shows the current layout. * Note the window dimensions are rough opening size. The door dimensions are approximated as they were not measured. * The location of the bathroom needs to remain same vicinity for simplicity and cost. The ceiling in the room below is partially removed and is accessible. * I'm willing to repurpose the closets if there is room to relocate these or create similar space elsewhere. * I would prefer not to raise the roof/ceilings. However, I'd like to see a version without raising it and one with it. Note the wall/ceiling common height is ~7ft 9. The exterior wall shared by the two adjacent closets is 3.5ft height. Not sure the $10K investment in raising the roof is cost effective unless the space would be significantly more usable. * Currently bath is accessible from 2 bedrooms. This is not a requirement to maintain. I envision the bathroom would be essentially become part of the MBR suite. * Wish to keep 3 bedrooms upstairs. * Must keep the 2 windows where they are. However, one of the windows can be in the bedroom and the other is in bathroom. * Only one floor vent for heating is in the smaller bedroom. None is in the bathroom currently. Not sure how critical it is to have one, but running a new duct to the bathroom is out of the question.
