Description:
Please note: this role is ideal for a Midlands (UK) based CAD designer who can make regular trips to our Birmingham office as you will be measuring actual components to extract raw dimensions/data. We require designs of sheet metal enclosures for electro-mechanical components working predominantly with aluminium, zintec and stainless steel.

Note: this role isn't really aimed at 3D renderers and 'product designers' as we require manufacturing and actual shop-floor experience. Clever and innovative designs will be needed to avoid expensive tooling and some parts may involve CNC machining, extrusion or 3D printing. I'd say we're looking more for an 'old school' CAD designer with a flair for innovative design.

Expect 25% of your time measuring, chopping and changing - all of which may be frustrating at times. We're a young startup and a casual bunch so need to work with a designer with whom we can gel for long-term co-operation. The project deliverable includes all the necessary 3D and 2D drawing files including STP, PDF, DWG/DXF and Solidworks.

Driving sprocket design
In search of a sprocket design made of POM plastic material (that has to be CMCed or moulded). The teeth have to be -positive (like a mountain- that are easy to clean under high pressure of water as the sprocket is used in meat and processing industry. The pitch is 49.7mm but I am looking for a sprocket that can accommodate 24.85mm as well. It has to be fitted onto a 40x40 square bore. I need sprockets in different diameters but with the same design. Diameters are 90.87mm, 122.51mm, 154,15mm and 185,79mm. The pitch itself is 4.5mm high, base width is 6mm, top width is 3.5mm. Please ensure the sprocket can fit well with the product itself under no tension, and tension.

Snap Part
A plastic right triangle wedge shell design suitable for an injection mold process. A male X side and a female Y side that can be unsnapped or snapped together in any 90 degree configuration. The opposite and adjacent sides are 1.25" square. The hypotenuse side is a separate flat piece that snaps in to the wedge. (See attached sample image) The 2 snap sides should be shallow but fit snugly, face to face, in any 90 degree configuration. A small pry key may be used to separate adjacent parts.
