We’ve always got a number of exciting CAD design contests<\/a> going on on Cad Crowd. From logo design to architectural projects to product design, you never know what the next contest will be. Which is good, ’cause it keeps our talented designers on their toes! It’s good to keep those design muscles stretched and toned \u2014 you wouldn’t want to pull something.<\/p>\n

Anyways, now seemed like as good a time as any to share with you, our devoted blog readers, some of the exciting, enticing, compelling and intriguing CAD design challenges currently underway on Cad Crowd! Here we go.<\/p>\n

1. No More Boring Highchairs<\/a> Homeware Design Entry by Adam<\/h3>\n

This “mompreneur” (her words!) is on a mission: to rid the world of boring highchairs. And she needs our help! In what might be regarded as an unconventional strategy, this entrepr… er,\u00a0mom<\/em>preneur is working on a design that for a tray that attaches to the world’s most popular highchair, which happens to be from IKEA. Well if you can’t beat ’em, you might as well try to make ’em less boring.<\/p>\n

2. Modernist Furniture Vanity<\/a>\u00a0Furniture Design Entry by Bespoke CAD\u00a0Services<\/h3>\n

Modernism may be a thing of the past, but’s still a pretty popular style. The challenge posed by this buyer is for designers to come up with a bathroom vanity with two sinks in the modernist style. This contest has attracted a number of designs that take things in pretty different directions. Check it out.<\/p>\n

3. Universal Phone Mount<\/a> Product Design Entry By ms12shah<\/h3>\n

So here’s a somewhat peculiar design challenge. This buyer needs a universal smartphone mount. Pretty straightforward so far. Here’s the kicker: it’s meant to attach to the side of a funnel. 4. Yacht Interior<\/a> Architectural Design Entry By EMMANUEL<\/h3>\n

Don’t you wish your yacht had such a sleek and cozy kitchen? What’s that? You don’t\u00a0have\u00a0<\/em>a yacht?\u00a0Well, that’s just because you haven’t hit on that perfect product design idea yet. Or maybe you have! If so, you should get it\u00a0touch<\/a>, and we’ll help you on your way to your very own yacht.<\/p>\n

5. Logo Character<\/a> 3D Modeling Design Entry By QiQ Design<\/h3>\n

This cute little guy is one of many entries to this popular contest. The challenge: to improve upon the mascot\/logo for an emerging startup brand. The logo is supposed to convey\u00a0openness, inquisitiveness, playfulness, and intensity. So far there’s been 87 entries to this one: that’s a lot of flaming heads! Take a look and see which is your favorite.<\/p>\n

6. Lipstick & Liquid Lipstick<\/a> Product Design Entry by Michael Dimou<\/h3>\n

That’s some pretty shockingly blue lipstick. The buyer here is looking for designers to come up with a\u00a0concept for their luxury brand of lipstick and liquid lipstick. We’re looking for something classy. Of course, that means different things to different people.
