The Cad Crowd 3D model library<\/a> is practically overflowing with awesome new product designs and 3D modeling showcases from our talented global network of CAD designers. With such a diversity of backgrounds, skills, and interests, there’s always a dizzying variety of work on display. From architectural design<\/a> to engineering<\/a> to consumer products<\/a>, there’s no shortage of cool projects represented in the gallery. Here’s a recap of some of the great designs we’ve seen over the past few days.<\/p>\n

First of all, look at that rendering. Wow. Nice. This design is a submission to an ongoing crowdsourcing contest<\/a> where the buyer is looking for a design for those kinds of stackable exercise steps we all remember from the 90s. This sleek, rounded design brings a bit of a modern aesthetic to the classic home exercise staple. Step, one-two, three…<\/p>\n

2. Wheel Stopper Skate Trainer 3D Modeling Design by Cad Geek<\/h3>\n

Another design that comes from a contest hosted on Cad Crowd<\/a>. It turns out that all those fancy skateboard tricks are pretty hard to actually do. The idea behind these little devices is to prevent the wheels from turning, so that the aspiring pros can practice their moves without rolling away. Safety first! Or at least second.<\/p>\n

3. Mini ITX Case<\/a> 3D Modeling Design by Sergui.Nasta<\/h3>\n

This stunningly realistic rendering is of a little tiny computer case. The Mini ITX is a type of small, low-power motherboard that allows for small, quiet computers. More popular for industrial uses than personal. This design shows how the video card is placed in the system with the dust cover removed.<\/p>\n

4. Wheels\u00a03D Modeling Design by MICHAEL DIMOU<\/h3>\n

This design shows a number of different wheel styles. Each one is quite unique, but they all have a certain kind of appeal. Who knows, maybe you’d like to have one of each! Another example of a great rendering of a 3D model.<\/p>\n

5. Collaborative Office Environment\u00a0Architectural Design by VASTROY<\/h3>\n

The age of the cubicle has come and gone. Modern office philosophy is all about the open concept. More collaboration, less walls. Sounds alright. I feel like you’d be pretty productive in an office as nice as this one. But where would you put the motivational posters?<\/p>\n

6. Diamond Butterfly Pendant<\/a> Jewelry Design by DHJ World<\/h3>\n

We’ve got a number of talented jewelry designers<\/a> on Cad Crowd. Each one has a totally unique style. But they all seem to like diamonds. This beautiful butterfly design is simple but elegant and is firmly encrusted with diamonds. A very cute piece.<\/p>\n

7. 50’s Bedside Table<\/a> Furniture Design by Jan Broukal<\/h3>\n

All that was old will become new again, so they say. Tastes and styles change over time, but there’s always something to be said about a good aesthetic. Not all looks from the past do well in a modern context, but some designs are timeless. This bedside table is based on a design from the 1950s, but modernized with a mirrored steel backboard and steel legs. A nice piece of furniture that would look good in most places!<\/p>\n
