Forgotten Hero 1
The design concept is to honour the difficult lives people with disabilities live with. The Forgotten Hero 1 for example may honour the lives soldiers led and depict the hardships they went through.
This prosthetic cover is designed by using human leg anatomy drawings as reference. It is designed to be aesthetically pleasing, ergonomic and interesting. The cover consists of two halves that clip into each other around the cylindrical structural member in the centre. There is a top and bottom mechanism which is pressed to unclip the two halves.
It can be printed and painted or printed in different colours and materials with 3D printers like Stratasys J750.
The Forgotten Hero 1 will be the first of more in the Hero Series of Prosthetic covers.
